چکیده

X-Ray Imaging In article 2301002, Xutang Tao, Zeliang Gao, and co-workers report a novel high-temperature X-ray detection crystal of SnTe3O8. SnTe3O8 detector exhibits stable sensitivity 617 μC Gyair−1 cm−2 at 175 °C record low limit 8.19 nGyair s−1 for 120 keV hard X-ray. It shows potential applications in detection.

Biosensor for Xanthine with Improved Sensitivity and Detection Limit

An interference-free amperometric biosensor for the quantitative xanthine analysis is described. Xanthine was monitored through the electrochemical reduction of hydrogen peroxide (produced upon its enzyme-catalyzed oxidation) at a constant applied potential of -50 mV (vs. Ag/AgCl). The biosensor was designed on the basis of a graphite electrode modified with microquantities of platinum and pall...

Sensitivity Enhancement of Fiber Optic Diesel Adulteration Detection Sensor Using Stripped Clad SBend Section

A novel geometry for enhancing the sensitivity of intensity modulated refractometric fiber optic sensor for detection of adulteration level in diesel by kerosene is proposed. In this multimode plastic optical fiber is uncladded for specific length and bent into S shape. This geometry is simulated and analyzed using Beam Propagation Method in Beam prop RSOFT software. When sensor is immersed in ...

Sensitivity enhancement in multiple-quantum NMR experiments with CPMG detection.

We present a modified multiple-quantum (MQ) experiment, which implements the Carr-Purcell-Meiboom-Gill (CPMG) detection scheme in the static MQ NMR experiment proposed by W. S. Warren et al. (1980, J. Chem. Phys.73, 2084-2099) and exploited further by O. N. Antzutkin and R. Tycko (1999, J. Chem. Phys.110, 2749-2752). It is demonstrated that a significant enhancement in the sensitivity can be ac...

Metamaterials: Snapping Mechanical Metamaterials under Tension (Adv. Mater. 39/2015).

By exploiting snap-through instabilities, D. Pasini and co-workers design a damage-tolerant mechanical metamaterial that snaps sequentially under tension, thereby accommodating a very large deformation up to 150%. On page 5931, they describe how the nonlinear mechanical response of the metamaterial can be robustly programmed by tuning the architecture of its unit cell.
